Classes & Workshops at The Centre
A list of classes can be seen on the posters at the bottom of the page.
COVID 19 SAFETY MEASURES
We all need a little creativity in our lives and after discussions with The Classic Garden Board and some of our instructor about the best way to open our doors this fall, we have decided to open The Centre. We feel we can make our space as safe as possible by following the recommended guidelines that the government has provided.
This will mean a decrease in the number of participants in each class to ensure that a 6’ distance can be maintained as often as possible during the class. Masks will also be a requirement for instructors and students alike. Touchless soap and hand towel dispensers as well as hand sanitizer stations have been installed.. To limit the number of people in the room, parents will have to do “curb side” when picking up children.
SMALLER CLASSES – REGISTER QUICKLY
These smaller classes will mean it is even more important for you to sign up and pay for any class that you would like to take in a timely manner. We accept cheques, cash or etransfers and will refund your money if you cancel up to one week before the class. Please note that there are some classes that have registration deadlines as some of the instructor’s have minimum numbers and must purchase supplies in advance. We have to pay for the number of signed up people regardless whether they show up or not! Remember, you are not registered for any class unless we have received your payment.
If you have a class you would like to see at The Centre, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org
Classes, workshops and events are first announced, to our email list usually one or two days before being posted online. Sign up to receive new class announcements by emailing a request to email@example.com.
Thank you to Fusion Credit Union for their support of our children’s programming and to Manitoba Arts Network for sponsoring the Printmaking workshop. Such a big help when trying to keep a non profit going in these times! And of course thank you to our many volunteers that help us in so many ways from teaching and assisting in classes, mowing lawn, clearing snow and donating craft supplies. The Centre is truly a community treasure thanks to you.
